    Guest:It is always funny when a christian points out the irony of some of you atheists on the site how defensive you get. It comes across like you waver in your ideals and have to yell and shout to "prove" you're right (like a kindergartner would). It is an interesting observation that you (atheists) do all of this bashing on Christians/Jesus/Christianity but come "show time" you are fighting and clawing your way to the front to make sure everyone sees you singing and dancing along to a Christian band's musicl. We called these people "posers" back in my era. ;)

    a few things to say

    1) as my good heathen friend once told me "advent is not the same as jesus. advent is much heavier than jesus ever thought of being."

    2) all you little jesus fanboiz, havent i seen you mosh for bands that aren't christian? shit, ive seen a few of you rocking out to some atheist jams. have you ever supported a band that wasnt christian? then your argument is fucking invalid. it goes both ways. music is music. how many times do i have to have this discussion with you people, what people say or listen to or even do in some cases does not make or break them as a person, or reflect their moral fiber at all in many cases. everything is not black and white.

    3) joe is not someone you all can pull into the christian argument on your side, and have me take it even a little bit seriously, because you guys suck, and he isnt a pretentious prick like most of you when this subject gets brought up. start being a joelike christian instead of what you think a christlike christian should be, and maybe you wouldnt be involved in this argument in the first place.

    4) also, david from what i know of you, i would probably call you a poser. or at least just as poser as any other dude on here. so keep posting as guest.

    Max - I find a flaw in your point - you talk about Christians moshing to athiest jams etc. The thing that I find 'wrong' with that is you dont see many people bashing athiests on here, usually its the other way around, people trash talking Christianity. So while I get what youre going for, its not quite the same. At least in my opinion.

    to be fair, there is much more christian bashing than atheist bashing.
    if you are not okay with your beliefs/whatever getting ridiculed or called into question, (for anyone) then keep your opinions on such matters to yourself on a disscussion board.

Advent-Overcome. how many of you screamed along to that verse? or do you just pick and chose the verses that you want to fit your life like the christians you condemn for doing so with the Bible?

    Do you have to like every lyric of every bands song to like them? Please name your top 10 favorite bands so we can figure this out. From a pure music standpoint, Advent is one of the best heavy bands anywhere. Guest again please.

    I think Advent is an awesome band. They are awesome dudes that make awesome music and have awesome lyrics. Who said that you have to believe in every lyric and shared belief of that band in order to be a fan. For example, "to live in Christ is to surely gain." I am not Christian. Disagree. you won't see me screaming to that at an Advent show. However, "I stand against blind allegiance to a nation that kills its children. To a nation that profits in death." Agree. You might see me singing along. If every person had to share and agree with 100% of all beliefs of a said band I'm sure we'd all be pretty fucking hard pressed to find a band we were "allowed" to like.

    Mr Roby - youre missing the point. I dont beleive whoever guest is was trying to say that you cant listen to them etc, just pointing out that there are athiests that sing along to the same things they are against.
