So we will be recording with Jamie King from July 12 through about the 30th. Sunday-Thursdays (most likely be home in Raleigh on weekends). I am hoping something comes through with our pals in Advent for some of it (I know they are on tour/out of town/unavailable our first week of recording for sure). We definitely are not in a position to pay for a hotel room for the duration, but we still don't have a place to stay confirmed for any nights yet.

We wouldn't be overbearing house/apt guests: we will be in the studio from lunch until a little after 10 each day we record, so basically we would just be sleeping some place, not hanging out there during the day or anything. (Probably get in at like 11 at night and be out the door by 12 the next day). Due to our schedules and commitment to other things besides the band, we will also not be having all of us there hardly at all:

-The first week will be nothing more than our drummer and lead guitar player while they record drums.
-The second week will be me and the lead guitar player every day, plus our vocalists/keyboardist a couple of the days (I don't think ever more than 3 of us)
-The third week will be me, the lead guitar player, and our vocalist/keyboardist for sure, so once again 3 of us.

We're not sketchy dudes by any means, and if it matters, none of us smoke; a couple drink here and there but always in moderation if there is any drinking going on at all (and if its absolutely off limits at your place, of course thats an easy rule to follow for us). We shouldn't need any food or anything; I am paying for everyone's food those 3 weeks out of my own pocket. A couch or so would be awesome, but we will have sleeping bags and one blow up mattress too.

We are also hoping to work it out to find a couple different people to stay with so that we aren't overstaying our welcome with any one person; unless of course someone doesnt mind us staying or more than a week. As I said earlier, right now I know for sure that we need a place or two the entire first week we are there (12th-16th).

awesome man. week 2 is 19th-23rd. Koger is being awesome and providing us a place to crash on the nights we are up there the first week (12-16). Week 3(26-30) is up in the air still too, but I am checking with a friend who might be around so we'll see.

Floor space is definitely fine man.

oh yea dude sorry! I thought I said it was cool before. Our lead guitar player had pretty unfortunate timing in having to get his appendix removed hah. Friday before we were supposed to start (start date was July 12th). Luckily it hadnt actually ruptured yet so he is good to start tomorrow, so we are a few days behind and things have been crazy making sure we could still keep the dates, so I apologize for not getting back to you. Drums are being tracked tomorrow and thursday.

If you are really really wanting to be there for drums you can head out, but as I disclaimed earlier, this is our new drummer's first time in a studio and he is a little intimidated to work with Jamie and just the whole recording deal, so I dono if he'll mind. Outside of that, you are welcome to be there as much as you want man. We're really laid back and won't mind people hanging around.

hahah. yea man when they told me they couldnt crash at your place because of the cat I felt like a douche. Thanks so much for offering your place to us. I know you ended up kinda getting the runaround since we couldnt make it at first due to medical reasons and then the one night they did hit you up to crash they found out about the cat (that I stupidly didnt ask you about). But we really did appreciate the offer! He said it wouldnt have been a big deal except that right now the pain is unbearable if he sneezes hah :(

well they actually knocked out the drums quicker than they thought (they actually had solid takes for every song done yesterday as opposed to needing today) so jamie just said not to worry coming back the next day since they were going back to raleigh and to come back monday for guitars and we left the drums set up in case we find some spots we need to punch in some minor corrections or change a part while we are going along with the guitar stuff. so it didnt end up being too bad.
