I'll be honest. I'm sad. I grew up watching moonwalker, (had the video game too). I loved watching him dance. I have the History of Micheal Jackson on DVD. Thriller is still my favorite music video.

He was truly one of the best entertainers ever.

I don't condone what he might or might not have done to little boys though. Let's be clear on that.

I don't care about being different, I have never been a fan of micheal jackson and it almost makes me sick that people idolize a person who has done such shitty things.

He was a cokehead, and died due to cardio vascular complications.

andy is just bitter that MJ didnt touch him.

    50 is pretty young

sometimes people are accused of things they genuinly did not do.
erik stevens claims up and down that I was involved in an affair with a girl from southern community bank who had a needle fetish. if you talk to him he will claim this happened and tell you a whole story about it. its false. so maybe the same thing happen with jackson. maybe. i dont know. you dont know.

he had some good songs, no doubt about it.
and whats neat is what he did for music. we just dont really have pop icons like that anymore, people that just roll out hit after hit and they are just great.
its a shame, but like said, i didnt know him, nothing really lost here.

Disagree. His songs did alot for alot of people. Maybe we didn't know him, but we knew his body of work. It just sucks that this person that made incredible music has passed. I would feel the same way about Elton John, Billy Joel, barbara streisand, (who I don't even like), etc. Just because you don't like him and he didn't do anything for you doesn't mean that he didn't do something for anyone.....last sentence is weird. I need to leave for work.

One thing that hasn't been brought up that should is that he was the first African American popstar to be universally accepted. He broke through before anyone else, at a time when racism was still prevalent in many parts of the world. That is something worth remembering him for as he was somewhat of a pioneer of equality perhaps?(See LauraTiny Im not so different after all :P)

The only thing I am really against is idolizing anyone that does such intangible things.
He was also at BEST a person of questionable moral character, and used his enormous amounts of money and social influence to keep anything that may have surfaced potentially out of the spotlight.
